Health and Participation Safety

Fitness limitations, safe activity and when to seek help.

Published · Version 0.6 · Effective 23 October 2026 · Commpair (Pty) Ltd

General fitness information

ASTA is a fitness and recreational service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent disease, provide personalised medical advice, or monitor emergencies. Activity totals, scores, rankings and sleep targets are not medical assessments.

Speak to a qualified healthcare professional if you are unsure whether an activity or target is suitable, especially with an injury, symptoms or a health condition.

Choose safe targets

Choose goals appropriate for your ability, recovery and circumstances. Warm up, use suitable equipment, follow local rules and consider weather and route safety. Do not interfere with prescribed treatment or safe sleep to satisfy a target.

Stop if you feel unwell, dizzy or in pain. Never exercise through injury or exhaustion to protect an entry or test-credit award. A locked entry or review does not require you to keep participating physically.

Measurement limits and emergencies

Watches, phones and connected services may miss, duplicate or misclassify activity. A score is based on received eligible evidence, not a guarantee of your physical performance or health.

If you may need urgent medical help, contact local emergency services. Do not rely on ASTA notifications, messages or support for emergency response.
