Start inside ASTA
Open Settings → Account and security → Delete my account. Verify your identity with your password or supported sign-in provider, supply an SMS code if required, and type DELETE before confirming permanent deletion.
The request gives you a private receipt, a target completion date and any unresolved obligations. A target date is not a promise that every account, provider record or backup will be erased by that date. You can check completion from Account privacy and deletion on the sign-in page, including for restricted accounts. Removing the app or signing out does not delete your account. Completed deletion cannot be undone.
What the current deletion flow checks
The deletion request is recorded even when an existing obligation prevents immediate final deletion. ASTA removes your social content and owned photos while the request is processed. Positive test credits alone do not hold the account open. You do not have to spend them, join another event or provide bank details; remaining test credits are erased when deletion completes.
Negative adjustments, unsettled Competition or Pool entries, pending payments or credits, held awards and open financial concerns can still need review. Ledger records also require an explicit operator retention duration and reason before final deletion. These checks apply even where the records arose during testing.
ASTA's source registers automatic rechecks of unresolved requests and completion recording. The privacy operator can record a reason and revised target date. Job registration is not proof that a production run succeeded. The approved retention targets and their provider-copy limits are described in the Privacy Policy; live configuration and operating procedures require verification before publication. No fixed completion period is guaranteed.
What is removed and what needs separate handling
Final deletion removes the account and linked content, Health snapshots, authentication, wearable-pairing and notification records. Apple and Strava revocations use an encrypted retry queue so a provider outage does not leave an untracked authorisation. Health information kept by Apple Health or another source provider is controlled separately and is not deleted from that source by ASTA.
Other participants’ recorded scores can remain with deleted-player attribution removed. Any retained transaction evidence, complaints, logs, backups and copies held outside ASTA need separate handling. Retention rules must identify what is kept, why, for how long and how restored backups honour deletion. These policies do not promise immediate removal from every backup or another participant’s copies.
Money and active events
Test credits cannot be withdrawn or returned as cash. An account-deletion request must not itself forfeit a genuine valid refund or undisputed amount owed if a historical cash obligation exists. Such records must be resolved separately; these policies do not convert or erase them as test credits.
ASTA leaves cancellable entries through their ordinary return process and shows any remaining hold and target date. In an authorised cash mode, the separate account-closure return path has no ordinary withdrawal minimum; cash withdrawals and bank-detail collection are unavailable in this free beta. Reading this policy alone does not request deletion or move funds.
Access, correction and complaints
Use Help and privacy requests in Settings or email help@astafitness.com to ask for access, correction, deletion assistance or an explanation of processing. Include your account email and a short description; do not send passwords, one-time codes, full card details or an unrelated Health history.
ASTA may request appropriate proof of account ownership. In-app requests provide a saved reference on receipt and show operator replies. Email is a separate contact route; opening your mail application does not send a request. Support hours are weekdays 09:00–17:00 SAST, excluding South African public holidays. These hours are not a guaranteed response or deletion completion time.
