POOLS

MEET EVERY
DAILY GOAL.

Pools are built around consistency. Choose daily activity goals and a start date, then work through the challenge with the other participants. Every selected target needs to be met each day.

THE FORMAT

HOW POOLS
WORK.

01

Read every goal before joining

A Pool is a daily commitment shared by its participants. The creator selects a start date, time zone, duration, common contribution and one or more goals. The available goal types are steps, running, cycling, swimming and sleep. Sleep goals may also include bedtime or wake-time conditions.

Every selected goal matters. If a Pool requires steps and sleep, meeting the step target does not make up for missing the sleep target. Another person recording more activity does not reduce your chance of qualifying. You are assessed against the Pool’s requirements, not ranked against their total.

02

Join before the selected start date

Each participant contributes the same displayed amount. The creator joins and contributes when creating the Pool. Public Pools can be discovered; private Pools restrict access to the creator, members and valid invitations.

New date-based Pools start at midnight on the selected date in the Pool’s chosen time zone. Joining closes at that instant. They start on the calendar date even if only one person has joined; they do not wait for a fixed field to fill. Check the event details if you are viewing an older Pool with a different start setup.

03

Complete all targets on each day

Record the required activity and review that day’s progress in ASTA. Running, Cycling and Swimming need appropriate saved workouts. Sleep targets use the recorded sleep evidence relevant to the goal; main sleep is assigned to the day on which the sleep interval ends.

Targets are checked day by day. Extra steps today cannot replace a shortfall tomorrow, and extra distance cannot substitute for a different required goal. Pay attention to the Pool’s time zone when travelling or participating from somewhere else.

04

Check sync before the daily deadline

The current rules give eligible records a seven-minute upload allowance after the day ends. This allows earlier activity to arrive; it does not extend that day’s exercise window. A local record and a successful ASTA upload are different things, so check sync status before relying on a total.

Once the allowance closes, missing any required target ends your qualifying run. Your contribution stays in the Pool. There is no current buy-back or redemption feature that lets you pay to undo a missed day.

05

Understand who receives the Pool

Participants who complete the required goals share the collected Pool equally. Recording more activity than another qualifying participant does not earn a larger share. ASTA does not deduct a commission in the Pool allocation calculation; that does not establish that every separate payment or withdrawal service is free.

A Pool that began with multiple participants can finish early if one qualifier remains. If no one qualifies, entries are refunded. If you are the only entrant, you can only receive your own funded contribution back: meeting the goals runs through the chosen duration, while a failure can end the solo Pool early with that entry returned.

These are allocation rules. In internal testing, balances are non-cash test amounts; a test allocation is not a cash payout.

06

Leaving, cancellation and visible progress

Before the start, a participant can leave and receive their entry back. The creator can cancel before the start and refund entrants. Once a wallet Pool has started, it cannot simply be deleted to reverse the commitment.

Participants can see relevant progress, status and non-sleep daily totals. Detailed sleep intervals and another participant’s detailed wallet-Pool reports are restricted. Contact ASTA with the Pool reference and relevant day if a target, result or refund needs to be checked.

QUALIFICATION

EVERY GOAL.
EVERY DAY.

Where a Pool includes an entry contribution, each participant contributes the same amount. Participants who qualify share the Pool equally, with no allocation commission.

In a Pool that started with multiple participants, one remaining qualifier can trigger an early finish. If nobody qualifies, entries are refunded. A solo participant can only receive their own entry back.

During internal testing, test balances have no cash value. Cash deposits and withdrawals are disabled in that mode.
