Pool Rules

Daily targets, equal contributions, elimination and shared returns.

Published · Version 0.6 · Effective 23 October 2026 · Commpair (Pty) Ltd

Format and organiser

ASTA Pools are operated through Commpair (Pty) Ltd. Every participant contributes the same displayed test-credit amount. The shared total is allocated to qualifying finishers without an ASTA Pool commission in the reviewed allocation logic.

This beta uses free test credits with no cash value, cash prizes or redemption right. A ZAR or rand label in wallet-backed Pool records does not make the credits cash. Check the Pool’s time zone, daily targets, start date, length and entry amount. Any future paid model requires separate approved rules and authorisations.

Starting and leaving

New Pools start at midnight on the creator’s selected date in the displayed time zone, regardless of entrant count. The creator chooses a positive whole number of days and does not set a participant capacity. Participants can join until that start, or leave before it for a full entry refund. Leaving does not postpone a date-based Pool. Older capacity-based Pools retain their original schedule: they start at the next local midnight after filling, and leaving before start can return them to waiting.

Once it starts, missing a required daily goal eliminates the participant and their contribution remains in the shared total, subject to correction, cancellation and applicable rights. An eliminated Pool moves out of that participant’s active feed but remains in Past events. A date-based Pool ends and refunds all entries if no active participants remain. If only one participant entered, it runs for the chosen duration while they meet the goals and returns only their own entry; there is no unfunded prize.

Every daily target must pass

Meet every required target on each eligible day. Extra progress on one target does not make up for missing another. Running, cycling and swimming require eligible recorded workouts. Avoid duplicate and manual evidence.

Where sleep is a target, the current app assigns the main overnight interval to its wake-up day and checks the configured duration and any bedtime/wake-time conditions. Review these conditions carefully. A sleep target is not medical advice or a reason to use an unsafe sleep schedule.

Daily upload window

Wallet-backed Pools, including those using noncash balances in this beta, use a seven-minute grace period after each day ends. Grace permits delayed evidence for the day that ended; it does not add another day of activity.

Pool timing uses the event’s displayed time zone. Daily receipt boundaries, delayed uploads and early settlement remain part of device and end-to-end beta verification. Keep syncing during participation and raise missing-data concerns promptly.

Who receives the shared total

Where more than one participant entered, the Pool can finish after a daily check leaves one qualifying participant, who receives the shared total. Otherwise, participants who finish all required days share it. If nobody finishes, each participant receives their entry amount back. A date-based Pool with only one entrant follows the full-duration rule described above and can return only that entrant’s own contribution.

The current wallet calculation uses whole cents as test-credit accounting units: equal shares are rounded down and remaining units are allocated in participant order. There is no company-funded rounding top-up in this calculation.

Daily results and allocated wallet amounts are noncash test credits during this beta. No bank settlement follows a beta award. These rules do not promise an additional waiting period before allocation. Unresolved relevant grace periods or disputes require review.

Queries and safe participation

Raise a Pool query with its reference, day, target and sync evidence through the event’s dispute control, Help and privacy requests in Settings, or help@astafitness.com. Do not send unrelated Health history. Stop unsafe activity even if it affects your result. Beta entry returns and awards remain noncash test credits.
