Organiser and entry information
ASTA Competitions are operated by Commpair (Pty) Ltd. Each listing identifies the format, metric, required entrants, duration, test-credit entry amount and fixed award schedule. A Competition uses its advertised fixed awards; it does not calculate the advertised award by sharing a Pool.
During this private beta, all entry amounts, prizes and returns are free test credits with no cash value or redemption right. No cash deposits or withdrawals are available. Review the displayed required field and schedule before entry; do not assume every Competition needs the same number of entrants. Any future paid activity requires separate approved rules and authorisations.
Joining, leaving and starting
While a Competition is filling, an entrant may leave and receive the entry refund to their wallet. Once the required field fills and the Competition locks, ordinary withdrawal is closed. The scheduled start is the next midnight in South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2).
Check the event’s actual start and end. A reminder or failed notification does not alter the schedule. A beta entry refund returns test credits to the ASTA wallet; it is not a bank payment.
Qualifying activity and final sync
Only eligible activity recorded within the Competition’s activity period can contribute. Running, cycling and swimming use compatible completed workouts; manual records do not qualify. Steps use eligible step evidence. Activity must pass verification and duplicate checks.
The current Competition sync allowance is seven minutes after the end. For an end at 00:00 SAST, the intended last upload boundary is 00:07 SAST. This time is for uploading earlier activity, not extending the exercise period. Boundary behaviour and workouts crossing the end remain part of device and end-to-end beta verification.
Check sync status before the end and keep evidence if an upload fails. Do not assume that a record still on your phone has reached ASTA.
Ranking, ties and teams
Solo results rank eligible totals. Squad results use the combined eligible totals of the squad. Disqualified entries are not awarded a prize.
The current implementation breaks equal totals by earlier entry time and splits a squad prize among its members, with any indivisible remainder assigned to the earliest-joined member. Equal totals do not currently share the prizes for tied positions.
These are the reviewed beta calculation rules. Reading these rules does not change a previously entered Competition or its result.
Results and review
Result notices distinguish placement and a test-credit wallet award from an award under review. Neither is a cash prize or bank payment in this beta. Verification flags may hold an affected credit for review.
Raise a result query with the Competition reference, relevant activity times and sync evidence. A flag is not proof of cheating. These policies do not promise a fixed dispute response or settlement time.
Entry returns and balance concerns follow Test Credits, Entries and Returns and applicable rights. Genuine historical payment concerns require separate handling. Never continue unsafe exercise to protect an entry.
